Series Description

Known for being a springboard to the upper ranks of the oval racing world, Legends Cars provide excellent side by side racing at a low cost. Using a spec setup on the 1940 Ford Deluxe the Legends are a challenging yet accessible way to get your foot in the door of the world of oval racing!

In this series there will only be a drivers championship.

Regulations

Technical Regulations:

- All competitors will run the 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe, with a build and tune which can be purchased on Josh Alessandro's storefront(free of charge). The build is mandatory, and competitors are prohibited from modifying the tune in any way. 


Sporting Regulations

- The following assists are prohibited: Braking/Racing line, TCS, STM, ABS.

- Simulation steering is mandatory

- Cockpit view is mandatory

- Auto/Manual transmission (No manual w/clutch)

- Each round will begin with a rolling start based on qualifying times. The pole sitter will be on the inside of turn 1, then all odd numbers will be on the inside, and all even numbers on the outside.

-The leader will dictate the field but must keep the speed below a predetermined speed that will vary based on track. This will be announced in the lobby before the race start

- All races will be run with limited damage.

- There will be a full-course caution period when one or more cars crash out. The leader will slow to a predetermined speed that will vary based on track and the rest of the field will fall in line in single file behing the leader. Once everyone has fallen into line the restart will happen at the start/finish line. Caution periods may take more than 1 lap.

- There will be no mandatory pit stops, but the pits will be open at all times if needed/wanted.

- There will be no restarts during a race unless lag causes a multi-car accident in the first two laps.

Qualifying

There will be a 15 minute qualifying session before the start of the race with ghosts on to determine the starting positions. If you miss qualifying it will still be possible to race however you will have to start from the back of the grid.  

Points

Points – Points will be awarded at the end of a race, you will accumulate points towards the driver standings dependent upon your finishing position in each race.

Points Awarded

Below are the finishing race positions and corresponding points allocations for the driver.

*1 bonus point will be awarded to the driver who scores the fastest lap of the race.

*1 bonus point will be awarded to the driver who qualifies on pole position.

Cars / Upgrades

The car is the 1940 Ford DeuLuxe Coupe.
 
The build for this series can be found on Josh Alessandro's storefront.

NOTE: This championship requires the June Meguiar's Car Pack in Forza Motorsport 4, or specifically the 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe which can be brought individually from this car pack.

Tuning is not allowed for this series. 

Paint

The legends logo(pictured above) is mandatory and a blank design with the logo will be sent to you upon signup. The Logo must not be moved or altered in any way! You must also display your gamertag and driver number on the side of your car. Otherwise the paints for this series are unrestricted, though a racing style paint is encouraged.

No offencive/graphic images/language will be permitted on  anyones livery. 

Reporting Of Race Incidents

Reporting Of Race Incidents – All incidents must be reported directly after the race (not during the race) unless it requires a penalty. Race incidents will not be discussed during the race and all replays must be saved by the driver making the complaint because if there is a lag which caused the incident then it will not be visible by somebody else’s replay.

The replay/replays will be reviewed by the administrators and a decision will be made as to whether or not anyone is to blame and if a penalty should be given to any or both drivers.
