Series Description

This series will be run on Forza Motorsport 4.

The Porsche GT3 Carrera Cup has been inspired by the UK Carrera cup racing series. 

The Porsche Carrera Cup is at the very pinnacle of British motor racing. Stunning cars and fiercely competertive races makes the Carrera Cup the obvious choice for drivers seeking superb racing. 

With this series comes a little twist to ensure competertive close races to keep us all entertained!

This series will be run on every other Saturday, starting June 21st.

 

Regulations

Technical Regulations

- All competitors will run the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the build will be available from donpost (you will need two builds in order to race this series)


Sporting Regulations

- Braking/racing line is prohibited

- Normal steering is allowed

- Cockpit view is mandatory

- Auto/Manual transmission

- ABS is optional

- TCS and STM are prohibited

- Race 1 each weekend will be set to random grid order. Race 2 will be set to reverse grid order. Both races will be standing starts.

- The competitors who come 1st, 2nd and 3rd in race 1 will be subject to a slight bhp reduction in race 2, to keep the racing competitive and points close. Handling parts will not be affected.

- All races will be run with simulation damage.

- There will be no full-course caution periods.

- There will be one mandatory pit stop in the first race of each weekend. 

- There will be no restarts during a race unless  lag causes a multi-car accident in the first two laps - Please do not assume there will be a restart, continue to race until the host confirms if a restart will take place.

 - Races will be approximately 30 minutes in length.

Points

Points – Points will be awarded at the end of a race, you will accumulate points towards the driver standings dependent upon your finishing position in each race.

Points Awarded

Below are the finishing race positions and corresponding points allocations for the driver.

*1 point will be awarded to the driver who scores the fastest clean lap of the race.

3rd. - 16
4th. - 15
5th. - 14
6th. - 13
7th. - 12
8th. - 11
9th. - 10
10th. - 9
11th. - 8
12th. - 7
13th. - 6
14th. - 5
15th. - 4
16th. - 3

Cars / Upgrades

The car used will be the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Upgrade Parts:

The builds for this series can be obtained from donpost.

There will be two builds for this series, the drivers that finish 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd in race 1 will have success ballast (a power reduction) intended to keep the racing and championship close. This will not affect cornering speeds.

Tuning is not allowed for this series. 

Paint

The paint for this series is open and can be anything, though realistic paints are encouraged but are not mandatory.  Offensive/graphic images will not be permitted on paints. The driver number must be clearly visible on the car.

Reporting Of Race Incidents

Reporting Of Race Incidents – All incidents must be reported directly after the race (not during the race). Race incidents will not be discussed during the race and all replays must be saved by the driver making the complaint because if there is a lag which caused the incident then it will not be visible by somebody else’s replay.

The replay/replays will be reviewed by the administrators and a decision will be made as to whether or not anyone is to blame and if a penalty should be given to any or both drivers.
