It is lap #68. Dixon is out - Montoya has stalled on pit road - Daly is wrecking.... Now we wait for Sato
to mess up and Charger's cursed prediction can be completed...

Anyone notice the safety truck was pulling out right when Harvey was spinning by? Another couple seconds later and it would have been ugly.

Fernando stopped right across from me in turn 1. He got an amazing ovation. He really drove great and showed why he is a world class driver, without the engine issue he had a legit chance. Ed Jones was great with a damaged car and salvaged P3. Felt like a race from the 80's or something beacsue the best cars that dominated were not around for the end. Also, whoever called Max Chilton leading the most laps is a genius.

In my opinion this was far and away the best 500 with the DW12. You're right, Dan...it did feel like a race from the 80's and early 90's. It reminded me of 1992 in many ways...with far fewer injuries, thankfully. (Only Dixon and Lazier were banged up)

Just before I left the house (was at the first red flag) I think it was Rossi alonso and sato 1 2 & 3, was quite unbelievable. lol

Great win for Sato; first I500 win for a Japanese driver! He will be revered as a god in Japan.

I'm sort of wondering if Sato's win might kickstart a return to Japan for Indycar.
