This weekend will see the 1970 GSR Formula One World Championship roll into the fast famous circuit of Monza for the 6th round of the series.
This weekend will see the 1970 GSR Formula One World Championship roll into the fast famous circuit of Monza for the 6th round of the series.
The car being used is the famous 1970 Lotus 49C Cosworth. With these cars being so rare and incredibly expensive to not only own, but also to run and maintain as a race car with parts so rare to come across, only 5 cars are taking part in the series. That hasn't stopped this from being a close fought series.
First and second in the drivers series are separated by only 8 points after the previous 5 rounds and 3rd place, only another 3 points back, this series is still all to play for.

Monza should certainly suit these cars as they are quite fond of having their taps opened and be giving a chance to spread there legs on the long straights. That being said however, the hard braking zones into the chicanes will test the aged brakes to full effect.
