Sunday the 2nd of July 2016, sees the first round of the Formula C Global Sim Racing Series, taking place at the famous circuit of Imola. With these cars being a Formula 3 type car with a focus on cornering grip, these cars are certainly a lot of fun to drive in the dry with hot sticky slick tyres.

10 drivers are currently signed up to the series (at the time of print) for the series, with that number set to rise throughout the series. All the regular teams will be present in the paddock on Saturday with two car teams entered from Samkel Racing and also South East Coast Racing.

There are also a few single car entries from other teams from First Capital Autosport and VMB Motorsports. Crashy Motorsports are also entering two single car teams for both dakinca91 and TopSoCalledGear and they are expected for both race under the one roof at some stage in the series.

Beezart #66 is also running BCKracer71 for the series. Alongside that we also have Rainbow Racing and Series newcomer majong57 in a solo entry.

With the first race being in sunny Italy at Imola, the series will then travel as far as Dubai and Japan with a number of European visits thrown in as well.

This is potentially set to be one of the closest GSR series in recent memory and with no official MBI Racing entry at the moment, we could have a new champion on our hands here at GSR.
