I turned some laps with Lanky last night... Yep I need more practice at Motegi too and the pit entrance is very unforgiving :)

What's a good time? I haven't touched Forza for a while....

PS - does anyone want a lower brake sensitivity version of the tune? Its a little high.

I wish we could have adjustable gear ratios--of course this depends on what's allowed in the real series if you want to match it. But this may not even be allowed in Forza 4 if the tunes are locked.

With enough laps, I can adapt, but I HATE most of the default gear ratios in Forza 4.

It's 10:13am here (Central time US), and the countdown clock for the Porsche race is showing 4hrs 46min. I thought the races were usually at 2pm my time, but this would indicate 3pm. I'm not sure if the time has been changed, or it's a daylight savings conflict or something.

...or I'm still not awake and I can't do simple math.

I'll still be on Xbox Live before 2pm... just wondering.

I would love to have raced in this series, but I have help my family today. Hopefully I can make future races.

Please make sure you all have downloaded the two tunes (fast and slow) from Donpost store front in preparation for the series..

Let me know if there's a new tune for the Porsches with adjusted gear ratios. At Catalunya (Barcelona) we should be running out 6th gear by the end of the start finish straight (not just barely getting into 5th), with good ratios for other corners so we can stay in the same gear and have controllable power throughout the turn, reduced chance of wheel spin on the exits, and remain in the same gear down a portion of the next straight (when that applies).

I also tend to reduce the differential deceleration myself, but it's tricky on the Porsches--you don't want to reduce it too much, and the current settings seem to be okay.

I've run Barcelona a few times with the current tune, and I'm having to take turns in much lower gears than I should.

Regardless, thanks for your work on this series, and whatever you can do is greatly appreciated.

Using my own tune that matches the index, horsepower, and weight, this is the gear ratio setup I'm currently testing on Barcelona--maybe a good place to start...

Final: 4.17
1st: 3.66
2nd: 2.25
3rd: 1.65
4th: 1.31
5th: 1.07
6th: 0.88

(Differential Accel: 47%, Decel 28%)

With these ratios you can take...

- T1&2 and the first part of T3 in 3rd
- T4&5 in 2nd or 3rd depending on your entry and line
- T7&8 in 3rd
- T9 in 3rd or 4th depending on your entry and line
- T10 in 2nd
- T11&12 in 2nd or 3rd depending on your entry and line
- T13,14,15 in 2nd (with some RPMs left to get you started on T16)

Excellent racing yesterday. If any of you One/FM5 guys still have your 360's kicking around, I strongly suggest wiping the dust off of them and entering the remainder of this series because these cars are a blast!

I completely ballsed up the gearing for that one - sorry about that! I'm going to put two new tunes on my storefront with Apex's ratios (cheers Apex).

Charger I have a special tune for you - it might be missing a few PI.....

Updated tunes with Apex's gearing are on my storefront now.

I'm not going to be able to make the next race :( It's my mates 30th, anything else and I would have said no!
