Series Description

The Drafting Chapionship is a championship running high performance high downforce cars, creating a large slipstream allowing for very tight racing all the way through the field, with 3 or 4 cars jostling for every position and constant overtaking, this series is more than close!

In this event there will be only 1 Championship: The Driver's Championship

Regulations

Technical Regulations:
All competitors will run one of three cars – the #04 Audi A4 DTM, #05 Opel Astra V8, and the Mercedes AMG C-Class Touring Car. The cars must be run with a mandatory tune for each vehicle, which is available on WagonDude1961’s storefront. The build and tune cannot be modified in any manner.

Sporting Regulations

* Assists: All assists and views are legal for this series.

* Damage: The race will be run with cosmetic damage only.

* Starting: The race will begin under a two-wide rolling start controlled by the leader, as decided by a qualifying heat which will determine the grid order. As such, the driver on pole will be on the inside of the first row, the second on the outside, etc.

*The qualifying heat will be a race that is 12-12.5 miles with a pace lap before the start. There are no cautions once the race has started. The finishing order of this race is the starting order for the main race.

*The main race is 75 miles with a pace lap before the start.

* 5 races will be run on 3 tracks. Sunset Speedway (2X), Indy Oval (2X), Test Track (1X).

-Sunset Speedway and Indy Oval will run 6 laps for the qualifying race (1 pace, 5 race), and 31 laps for the main race (1 pace, 30 race).

-Test Track will run 4 laps for the qualifying race (1 pace, 3 race), and 20 for the main race (1 pace, 19 race).

*The leader is to control the pace of the field, but cannot run above 100 mph on the pace lap.

* Restarting: In the occurrence of a multiple-car incident which inflicts damage to the involved vehicles and/or involves a spinning vehicle, a full-course caution period will occur. The leader will safely decelerate to 100 mph and allow the rest of the field to line up behind him in close, single-wide formation. Once the entire field is in correct formation, all lapped vehicles will give their place to lead-lap cars and move to the rear of the line. The race will resume green conditions at a point of the leader’s decision, with the leader saying “Ready, set, go.” Drivers cannot resume race speed until the leader says “go.”

* Penultimate & Final Lap: There will be no caution periods once the leader has begun the penultimate lap.

* Bump-Drafting: Under no circumstances is any driver allowed to bump-draft the leader of the race. If any driver is found to be deliberately bumping the leader or repeatedly gaining an advantage from bumping the leader, they will incur a penalty. The leader is additionally not allowed to bump draft a lapped car, and will be penalized in the same manner for doing so.

* Teams: There will be no teams in this season of the Drafting Championship.

* Lobbies: In the case that the administrator deems there to be sufficient interest for two lobbies, both lobbies will have the same points given out for the same positions, due to the close and competitive nature of this racing (i.e. first place in both lobbies will receive 43 points).

Livery Regulations:
The only rules on paint/liveries are that you must have your number on both sides of your car. Otherwise paints are open to whatever you want. Please don't change paint between races.

- If you can't come up with any paint ideas try going with one of your favorite drivers or any favorite sports team.
- Matching paints are ok if you want to act as teammates with another driver. Just make sure the other driver is ok with it.
- Windshield names are encouraged. If you need one, WagonDude1961 will make one for you. You can change the font and color if you'd like.

Reporting Of Race Incidents

Replay Review Policy

Since these race finishes are usually very close and Forza timing doesn't always seem to be able to keep up we will have a replay review policy. All drivers need to save their replays as you may be asked to share it in case of a Forza timing issue.
- Replay Review Policy:
> All drivers are expected to save replays
> If it appears (to a driver involved with the timing problem) that Forza timing placed a driver in the wrong position we will review a minimum of 3 replays to determine the correct order. If it is inconclusive we will stick with Forza timing.

Reporting Of Race Incidents – All incidents must be reported directly after the race (not during the race) unless it requires a penalty. Race incidents will not be discussed during the race and all replays must be saved by the driver making the complaint because if there is a lag which caused the incident then it will not be visible by somebody else’s replay.

The replay/replays will be reviewed by the administrators and a decision will be made as to whether or not anyone is to blame and if a penalty should be given to any or both drivers.
