There will be two official practice sessions this week.

First will be Tuesday from 4:00pm eastern (9:00pm gmt) to 9:00pm eastern (2:00am gmt)

Second will be Thursday from 3:00pm eastern (8:00pm gmt) to 8:00pm eastern (1:00am gmt)

Take it from me, Dan...speed isn't everything in an endurance race. You can get a great finish simply by running consistent laps and staying out of trouble; and I suspect there will be lots of trouble this Saturday. :)

Yeah laptimes mean nothing, in an endurance race I was in I had a full laps lead (At Le Mans), spun out and crashed with 20 minutes to go and lost so much time from the damage that I ended up coming third in class!
Similarly in another 4 hour race I set my fastest lap of the race on shot tyres with 5 minutes left, a lot of things can happen in 4 hours, and consistency is key rather than speed (especially around Bathurst, the walls being so close and all)!

It's all about consistency and not hitting the walls.

What are the rules with the pits, is there going to be a mandatory pit stop during each 2 hour stint or if the tyres will last can you just keep on going?

If it is like the GSREC you will have to pit at some point cause the tires won't last the whole stint, I don't think fuel would either.

No mandatory pit stop(s). The pits are always open though if you wish/need to pit.

ha i didnt know these times would be taken done or i would have stuck around, that 1.30. was my first lap from a standing start, who ever i was in the session with, hoovering behind me and tapping me (also making that lap time invalid sue to contact) on the straights wasnt really cool, was just there to see if was any different online to offline as i know sometimes the car can handle different, me me feel pretty darn uncomfortable considering im not the fastest anyway. was just very unneeded in a practice session
