What times are you guys running in practice? Just did a 2:38.888. I'm sure I'm well off the leaders pace but I'm still curious.
Wed 24 Jul 2013, 06:14
Was able to knock my time down to a 2:37.786 tonight. :)
Fri 26 Jul 2013, 22:45
I got a 2:37.5XX, once.

I could probably get in the 2:36's if I had a lap without mistakes - these cars are just so hard to drive!

Fastest lap so far is a 2:36.585, but I cannot get any consistency. Braking from high speeds in a 60 years old car with drum brakes and chewy tires is not the easiest thing there is, and many times I end up braking too much or not enough and missing the apex.

It will surely be an helluva long race.

I think I finally cracked it. Got a 2:37.032 and was consistently in the low 2:37's so maybe I can be competitive this time!

Not sure if I will be home in time for the race tonight chaps :( I will try my best but don't wait if I'm not online

Congratulations to Clyde on his 2nd dominant win in a row! Was a fun race today overall guys. Just wish we had more than 6 guys show up...

Next up...the RING! :)
Mon 29 Jul 2013, 04:30
Damn that sucks about your car. Hopefully you're able to get it fixed up asap.

Don't worry about missing races from time to time. Life does tend to happen. The thin attendance on Saturday was mostly on me since I didn't send out reminder messages the night before the race like I usually do. I know this coupled with us coming off of our 2 week break had people forgetting/getting confused about when our schedule started up again.

For those who are feeling overwhelmed (me, for example) by the idea of trying to learn the massive Nurburgring heading into next Saturday's race, I highly recommend just practicing the 4 stages of it on their own a handful of times before trying to tackle the circuit in it's entirety. I know for me personally it will be the only chance I have to even come close to memorizing the track at all.

If there are any "Ring" experts out there I would sure appreciate a pointer or two. lol

Beginning with this weekends race at the Nurburgring normal steering IS allowed.

Hey guys, I will be hosting the race tonight at the ring, I will be starting a lobby up around 7.30pm.
If I'm not on your friends list please send me an invite asap so I can get you into the lobby early for an 8pm start.
See you all later :-)

How was the race today guys? I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it.
Sun 11 Aug 2013, 18:06
Was good man :) VW and Clyde were battling on the last two laps until Clyde lagged out. Me, Schubee and Colton caught tangled up with each other on the first lap so we were out of the main challenge.

I'm going to host a practice session tonight at 5pm eastern/10pm gmt. Hopefully some of you are willing to give me some pointers as I truly suck at SIlverstone in any car, let alone these bad boys. See you then, fellas!
Sat 24 Aug 2013, 20:27
Driving these cars is like driving a blamanche over a glacier lol. Is there going to be a practice lobby up before the race?
Sat 24 Aug 2013, 21:45
I'm hosting guys... Josh has some connection problems at the moment
Sun 25 Aug 2013, 01:22
Wow...with just the 2 races to go, Apex and Clyde are tied for the lead with 76 points, with don being just 6 points behind them. These final 2 races are going to be quite interesting!
