2016 Global Endurance Championship (Open Rank FM + PC)

GSREC is back after a long absence for it’s second season! This series will be held on both Forza Motorsport 6 and Project Cars, allowing for a true crown jewel of endurance racing. Start times are to be determined.

20-Feb-16 Daytona Sports Car Circuit – 12 Hours – FM6
16-Apr-16 Sebring Full – 6 Hours – FM6
11-Jun-16 Le Mans – 12 Hours – PC
20-Aug-16 Spa-Francorchamps – 6 Hours – PC
8-Oct-16 Nurburgring GP – 6 Hours – PC
17-Dec-16 Road Atlanta – 6 Hours – FM6

When I've been doing some practice I've started it at 5pm and after 30mins the tyre temps had dropped a lot and lost loads of grip, pitted and reduced pressures then it was good again. So is there anything else I can do to keep tyre temps up or is it going to be better to do shorter stints and keep reducing pressures?

It should be a 2 stop race for you on softs. I would only pit the minimum times just to save time.

Hey Throwaway, as Dakinca said, you prob don't want tuning advice from me. He's a jerk but he is correct. With that disclaimer, after testing this week, I lowered my afternoon pressure by .02 PSI for each tire at night. That seemed to work out pretty well. Gave me similar temps. I also didn't have drop off during my stint, but I'm also REALLY hard on my tires and always have trouble keeping them cool. What car are you in and what pressures are you running, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Maverick I'm in the corvette I think the pressures are about 1.7 I think I did a long stint today at 22.00 IGT and the temps seemed to stay ok. I think I had had them at about 1.8 when we did spa and as it got colder I kept on falling off the track.
