Congrats on the championship Samkel and SECR. Had some good battles and this race highlighted the highs and lows of endurance racing. Look for a closer battle next year .

Congratulations to our series champions, SamKel Racing (P) & SECR (GT). Well earned!
Sun 18 Dec 2016, 03:24
Thanks everyone and congrats to SECR! Good job to everyone who once again ran all 6 hours and to K Motorsports for taking the win in P1 and Smokez for the win in GT. Tough break for K this season. If things played differently a few of the races, this conclusion would be very different. Great job everyone who ran this season. It was a long tough road for everyone.

Cheers to all on a great season! Regrettably, I had to miss 2 races, but in the 4 I made it seemed each race was more enjoyable and more competitive top to bottom than the last. It was great seeing such depth and commitment specifically in the P class across the board from season start-finish. I have to include a shout out to the several fellas in both GT & P who drove solo yesterday; Smokez (who also earned his first career win), Charger, Speedfreak, Henners, Berp & Dead Arm.

As for my little race team (First Capital Autosport), we exceeded our expectations. The goal was to simply be there. We ended up 2nd at Daytona, 4th at Le Mans, 3rd at Spa and 2nd at Road Atlanta. Thanks to GRD for jumping on board for Le Mans & Spa! FCA is already hitting the ground hard looking to attract additional sponsors who will give us a chance to earn that win which eluded us in 2016. We will have a driver lineup, car and sponsor to announce in early 2017, well ahead of Daytona in February. :)

Great series and great fun with everyone who took part. Congrats to the winners, next year I'll be looking to attend more races and gunning for that first series win. I'll probably add some more downforce too...

Glad to hear you're planning to enter again. Planning on being a crazy person and entering solo? Or will you be looking for a teammate?
