I’m running about the same. I keep racing Basher’s ghost and can not figure out how he has such good mid range speed. I can usually pull on the ghost out of the corner, then he blows past me on the straight, then I catch back up towards the end of the straight. I don’t get it.

Maybe there is lower aero on his setup? would explain the straight line speed and lack of pace in corners?

Anyone care to share gt3 lap times ?
Mon 29 Jan 2018, 00:44
No jokes, you'll only find out this coming weekend. Haven't had any proper practice because of other commitments so my pace is in the air right now

I would check the time trial settings. Add a bunch of the gt3 driver on Xbox and they might have some times. That’s what I’m doing for LMP1

GT3 seems like it’s a Porsche class pretty much

How's the engine damage debacle with the Porsche GT3s?
I raced a few times against AI and although no overheating/over-revving, the engine slowly died anyway.
Wed 31 Jan 2018, 02:32
It’s a Porsche, not a Ford. Engine just degrades like the tires, lol. Apparently McLaren has a similar issue, I normally drive a Ferrari and don’t have this issue so it seems it’s more Car specific than driver caused.
As far as lap times go, it’s a long race and I think keeping within track limits and not spinning or crashing is far more important than clicking off fast laps. With that said I think between me and my teammates we’re averaging 1:47-1:49 in race pace.

Do we know whether the race will be scored on laps or distance?
Fri 02 Feb 2018, 00:33
In the past it’s been distance traveled in KM.
Fri 02 Feb 2018, 00:34
Who’s qualifying for everyone this weekend ? I see the Toyota is at 1:27. That’s blindingly fast, hopefully it breaks down.

That’s not an option in PC2.

Stay tuned.

Just curious, but why is the IGST at 0700 instead of the normal 1500 (IRL 1440) start time?

Posted by Michaei WattsJust curious, but why is the IGST at 0700 instead of the normal 1500 (IRL 1440) start time?

Because the race starts at 7:00 EST IRL. We’re going to set each stint 4 hours later than the last and use 2x time acceleration to simulate a 24 hour race.
Fri 02 Feb 2018, 07:02
I understand.. but if you start simulated time at 3pm EST you would essentially end up at 3pm EST the next day. The different start time will make a difference in Who drives at night and who drives in the rain, as there was a short spout of rain from 9pm EST to about 10:30pm EST. Also the final Stint would be mostly in the dark as sunrise was close to 7am Sunday morning.

e.g. Stint 1) 1500-1900, Stint 2) 1900-2300, Stint 3) 2300-0300, Stint 4) 0300-0700, Stint 5) 0700-1100, Stint 6) 1100-1500

Edit: I do realized the actual start of the Lobby is 0700 EST /1200 GMT, just so we are on the same page.

Dan, the good news is that I’m the slowest guy on the team and due to scheduling issues for me on race day I get qualifying duties.
Fri 02 Feb 2018, 16:30
Even as your slowest driver, your posted time is 1:28. That Toyota is ungodly quick.

And Dan, I'll be driving for SamKel's qualifying.
