Are those 1:32.0's on Sebring Short? If so I'm miles off the pace with 1:38's eeek.

Yeah they are; but don't worry...there are lots of guys here that have very helpful tuning tips, as well as driving tips. Plus a little old fashioned practice goes a long long way. :)

I should also mention that you're not the only one running those times. So even if all else fails you will always be fighting for position with someone.

Phew... A few laps and a bit of tuning and hitting 1:33's with a best clean lap of 1:32.2
As this is my first race on GSR I was starting to worry that I was way out classed. Would hate to have wasted a good paint job :)

haha there ya go man! Now...if you want to get up front with the freaks like RomeoDanger and Green then you will have to try to find the 28's...but I gave up on that nonsense a long time ago! lol

You should post that paint job to your profile on here so we can admire it's beauty.

I was able to get some consistent 1:30's by switching to manual w/clutch. Unfortunately, I'm not at the point where I feel comfortable using it for an actual race lol.

We have hit 20 entries; a new GSR record!

Note: Only the first 16 entries are guaranteed a grid spot in all 6 rounds. Drivers 17+ will be "reserve" drivers and will race in the event of a first 16 driver not being able to race. So for this series more than ever if you're unable to make an upcoming race PLEASE notify an admin asap so we can then notify a reserve driver that a grid spot has opened up for them.

There will be an official practice session on Thursday from 6:00pm-8:00pm eastern. This preseason session will include all 3 tracks on the calendar.

I will not be able to make the practice session tomorrow because I will be watching the Duels at Daytona. I might be able to make the last race but that is a big "if".

Did a bit more practice tonight... Took me 45 laps of trying but I got a clean lap in of 1:29.75 which i'm quite happy with. I'm lapping consistently in the 1:30.5 - 1:31.25 range now.

Hope to join tomorrow for practice.

I have also been enjoying the return of Road America :)

Quick question from a newbie - my first series in GSR event.
How do I get into practice lobbies when they are set up and more importantly - how will i get into race on saturday??

You will want to be sure to have all GSR admins added as friends on XBL. They will invite you to the party/game well in advance of any official practice/warmup/race. For practice sessions you can expect an invite approx 15 minutes before the scheduled start. On race day the warmup lobby opens 1 hour prior to the scheduled race. We ask that on race day you be online (and appearing online) at least 15 minutes before the race.

Just a reminder that there will be an official practice session this evening running from 6:00pm eastern/11:00pm gmt until 8:00pm eastern/1:00am gmt.

Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged, especially for the guys who will be making their GSR debut in this series. You don't have to take part in the entire 2 hour session, just join us whenever works for you!

Can you please confirm the start time. I have just noticed that it says 9PM GMT start but the countdown works out to be 8PM GMT. Is this counting down to practice / Qualifying with the race starting at 9PM?
