Just a reminder that rounds 1 and 2 of the MX-5 Cup are TODAY at Sebring (Short) at 3:00pm eastern/8:00pm gmt. A warm up lobby will be open 1 hour before the race where we will also be practicing our rolling starts.

It was nice to finally race! Although I didn't do that good due to the fact that I didn't practice enough and I didn't have much time with Dave's setup. I finally got the car down in round 2 and ran somewhat decent lap times but I had to pit early for damage. I won't be able to race with you guys at Mazda since I'll be out of town. Hopefully I can make Road Atlanta.

Sucks about the damage in round 2. You had a nice top 10 finish in the first race though!

great clean racing, a 1.32 was my best ever lap with this car, fast racing , great fun, cant wait for 2 weeks.

After reviewing the replay of round 1, RomeoDanger has been disqualified due to excessive and repetitive corner cutting. Results and standings have been updated accordingly.

153.5 is the best I can do on laguna seca, its the bottom of the heap again, oh well, somebody has to finish 12th.

The keys to this track are turn six before the climb, I cant make up my mind, 3rd or 4th.

of course the corkscrew can ruin everything if you (cork)screw it up.

The pit lane is halfway between turn 10 and 11, I almost missed it during practice after getting rear ended by a drivatar.

Try running some laps by yourself without the drivatar's. You might be able to get faster. It isn't worth running with them on because half the people who race this game just race it to crash people and their drivatar's reflect that.

I uploaded some of the highlights of my first race, I unfortunately forgot to save the second replay.

Don't be worried about being slow, man. We've ALL been there. I'm sure some of the fastest guys will be more than willing to give you pointers etc. Myself, being a very average racer the only advice I can give to you is practice until you can't take it any more...and then practice a bit more. Just focus on being smooth and stringing clean laps together. Speed will be a by-product of being smooth and clean. :)

I am always ready for some pointers Romeo Danger

What is everyone running on Laguna Seca?
Mon 03 Mar 2014, 03:35
I haven't turned a lap yet. Will have to hit some heavy practice this week.
Mon 03 Mar 2014, 06:44
I feel like i'll be towards the back of the pack again..
Mon 03 Mar 2014, 07:08
My best lap so far is a 1:48.602. I haven't started tuning though, so that's with my Sebring setup.
Mon 03 Mar 2014, 07:58
I don't understand how times can be so spread, I'm 3 seconds behind and you haven't even tuned your car yet.
Mon 03 Mar 2014, 17:22
Hey CTT don't feel bad. I just ran three laps and my best was a 1:50.050. The fast guys are usually 2-3 seconds faster than me every race. I can probably get down near a high 1:48 to a low 1:49. So expect the fast guys like Romeo and Green to be in like the 1:47's to a mid 1:46.
Mon 03 Mar 2014, 17:38
I just went back out on the track after switching from manual to manual with clutch and I picked up a second and a half. I ran a 1:48.536. Something that doesn't seem like it is a big deal can really pick you up time.
Mon 03 Mar 2014, 18:55
1:45.156. Ill be in the 44s with more practice
Tue 04 Mar 2014, 04:23
Not a problem, Racing1egend. Life happens sometimes. Rounds 5 and 6 will be March 22, hope to see you then!
