Thanks for the practice last night guys.

Wagon... top class paint jobs, looks fantastic when all the cars are in a line.

Still can't believe how off the pace I am.
I spend nearly all my time driving and practicing for my rFactor F1 championship and fear that switching from that to Forza might not be good for my driving.

Still I'm determined to do the F1 1976 series later in the year, so best stick with it and get some points to make the grade. I might be propping up the back of the field on Saturday though.

Razor don't worry about being fast, unless something changed these races aren't about winning, just about not getting involved in crashes.

Amp is correct, Razor. The primary goal each driver should have in the rookie series is to run consistent clean laps, focus on getting comfortable around other cars and staying out of trouble.

Did a little experiment and spliced together yesterday's race at Indy. This is mostly focused on my car, but I did a bit of editing toward the end to show the leaders on the last lap and Keyless' spin. Wish I could have used more perspectives, but it was taking about an hour to upload 5 minutes to skydrive and Movie Maker isn't an ideal editing platform.

There will be a special Wednesday night edition of the MX-5 Cup Rookie Series this week! Races will begin on the 20th at 9:30pm eastern / 2:30am gmt (Sorry Europeans) and we will run at Catalunya (National), Laguna Seca and Indianapolis (Oval).

If you're looking to race in rounds 1 and 2 of the Classic American Muscle level 2 championship this Saturday and need driver ranking points to be eligible, this will be your last chance before that time! (It's also a great way to fast track even if you're currently at 0!)

Posted by GSR Admin TeamMazda MX-5 Cup - no upgrades, no tuning.

This was the only post that I have seen regarding upgrades/tune for MX-5 Cup car. I believe the stock car is D397(?)
Mon 18 Aug 2014, 18:06
No stock is D392. The room will be forced to stock for all tier 1 series so even if yours is upgrade it will be taken off.
Mon 18 Aug 2014, 18:09
Thank you for the clarification. I suppose that really makes it a level playing field.

MX-5 Cup is an extremely enjoyable car to drive and fast too. I am beating several of my own D400 Rivals time using this D392. The suspension is supple but stable. The gearing is a little too far apart for my liking (especially 3 & 4) but it's same for everyone. The power delivery is good but got to keep the RPM high. Pushing the traction envelope is enjoyable & predictable but exceeding the limit has immediate effect on laptimes.

Ran many tracks for practice last night: RA, Launa, Sebring, Catalunya, Indy, & Silverstone. Plan to do some mock races in Freeplay tonight. Looking forward to the Wed Night race.
