2017 Global Endurance Championship (PC & FM)

In 2014, it took Wagon/Dave/Blonde, Carter/Macace and Insayne/Woody/Nightmare 36 hours to earn the right the be called champions. In 2016, it took SECR (Copper/Marko) and SamKel (Samson/Maverick) 48 hours to earn that same right. We won't know until December who will add their names to the list of GSREC champions; but we do know it will take them a record 54 hours complete with all of the countless euphoric highs and crushing lows that come with multi-class P1 & GT racing on 6 of the world's greatest endurance race circuits.

Grab a friend or two (or drive solo if you have no friends) and get behind the wheel of one of today's finest LMP 1 or GT3 cars for the ultimate test of endurance.

This championship will again take place on both FM and PC, with 3 races taking place on FM (Daytona, Nurbugring and Road Atlanta) and 3 taking place on PC (Silverstone, Le Mans and Spa). This year, Silverstone will replace Sebring and Spa has been extended from a 6 hour to a 12 hour event.

February 11th - 12 Hours of Daytona (FM)
April 22nd - 6 Hours of Silverstone (PC)
June 10th - 12 Hours of Le Mans (PC)
August 12th - 6 Hours of Nurburgring (FM)
October 14th - 12 Hours of Spa (PC)
December 16th - 6 Hours of Road Atlanta (FM)

It's more about consistency and staying focused. About halfway through the second stint you can feel the lap time drop and it's harder to fun as fast I think. its a good test and the fastest car doesn't always win

Also 2 of each car in Prototype is awesome, then at least 5 cars in GT and hopefully a few more happen. Could be great

I hadn't stopped to notice it was 2 Porsche, 2 Toyota and 2 Audi in P1. Very cool.

As for overall car count, it's really looking like 7 in P1 and 7 or 8 in GT is realistic.

I know that, it's just I'm not where I want to be speed wise yet. I'll be happy to get a second faster than what I'm at.

DAYTONA, FL - Following months of uncertainty, the team formerly known as K Motorsports is excited to announce that it will officially enter the 2017 GSR Endurance Championship as Redbird Racing. The name will serve as a nod to the All-Illinois lineup of the #7 Toyota, which will feature the return of BCKracer71 and dakinca91, as well as the addition of TopSoCalledGear for the 12 hour rounds. Sponsorship will be announced at a later date.

That is a tight field all around. Bummed I missed this but glad the turnout was so high and that the competition is looking so good!

I think I can get the Toyota into the 1:32.0 range but that's about it. I ran a 32.2 dirty last night. Will come down to not crashing. A 12 hour sprint race

If I hit my marks perfectly in the Audi I could possibly get into the 1:31's. I was 9 tenths up after the infield one lap and just botched the bus stop.

I'm going to paint a car tonight just for fun and because I feel like it. (Probably won't run it) I'm curious to know if I should be putting P1 on the car or LMP by the number board, could a fellow LMP driver answer this for me?

Hippie, at least you ARE helping out, so that in it's self is worth 100 gamerscore.

Amp, I would say P1 since the term "LMP" is used to blanket an entire category, whereas P1 is a "class." I would put "P1."
