A bit confused here. The event rules say --

Upgrade Parts:
All cars must remain stock for this series.
Do Not Install Any Parts That are Not Listed.
Tuning is allowed for this series and is encouraged.

Yet, the above says we have to run someones tune and build this perfectly replicated car into something else?

I test drove the stock model last night and it was indeed a handful, but that's good, IMO, if you want to "separate the men from the boys." My best time was 64.0, and all I could adjust was the tire pressure. Are you saying we need a tune for this? Or are you upgrading the car to something other than what ran in 1939 and forcing a tune? Just wondering, since it will impact my decision on whether to run. Don't want to blow time practicing. Thanks.

This thread is for the Indy Lights race, not the '39 Indianapolis 125. That race is "open" tune.

Where do we sign up for this?
Sat 07 Feb 2015, 04:12
It should be on the right side of the screen. I already signed up or I would send you a screen shot.

Thu 26 Feb 2015, 00:48

As far as I know the setup is already uploaded to the storefront. Try searching 'gsr' under keywords and it should show up. The setup is titled GSR Freedom 100. If it isn't there I'll make sure to have it up sometime tonight.

It is there. I just installed it.

being english have never ever watched any indy of oval racing, but reason i signed up is to try some new things, will there be any practice races so i can adjust to the rules??
Thu 26 Feb 2015, 14:07
We need more ovals on forza!!
Thu 26 Feb 2015, 14:47
That's the spirit, Dan. I almost exclusively watch oval racing and that is why I got into the open wheel stuff we do. I wanted to broaden my horizons a bit and try something new. You might be surprised how much fun you'll have. We've converted a few in past oval series.

looking forward to it, my only concern is rules ect, i know that forza doesnt convert them i racing style so just dont wanna mess up

Hopefully the way I have the car set up will allow us to have a crazy finish like this. www.youtube.com/watch
