2017 Global Endurance Championship (PC & FM)

In 2014, it took Wagon/Dave/Blonde, Carter/Macace and Insayne/Woody/Nightmare 36 hours to earn the right the be called champions. In 2016, it took SECR (Copper/Marko) and SamKel (Samson/Maverick) 48 hours to earn that same right. We won't know until December who will add their names to the list of GSREC champions; but we do know it will take them a record 54 hours complete with all of the countless euphoric highs and crushing lows that come with multi-class P1 & GT racing on 6 of the world's greatest endurance race circuits.

Grab a friend or two (or drive solo if you have no friends) and get behind the wheel of one of today's finest LMP 1 or GT3 cars for the ultimate test of endurance.

This championship will again take place on both FM and PC, with 3 races taking place on FM (Daytona, Nurbugring and Road Atlanta) and 3 taking place on PC (Silverstone, Le Mans and Spa). This year, Silverstone will replace Sebring and Spa has been extended from a 6 hour to a 12 hour event.

February 11th - 12 Hours of Daytona (FM)
April 22nd - 6 Hours of Silverstone (PC)
June 10th - 12 Hours of Le Mans (PC)
August 12th - 6 Hours of Nurburgring (FM)
October 14th - 12 Hours of Spa (PC)
December 16th - 6 Hours of Road Atlanta (FM)

Can I get a 100% straight answer on the BOP changes?

On the series rules page right now the Merc still had 330s on the back. I was told last night the rules page was adjusted for the change, but now it's back to 330...

Anyone care to confirm this? As of right now I'm still a bit confused, and it would be nice to know so we can re tune if necessary...

I'm not sure what is going on with the rules page, but the rear tire width should be left stock.

I wasn't aware of this rule change and haven't had time to change the page yet. It'll be edited by tonight.

Could we get every team to share their livery for the spotters guide?

Right now, we still need liveries from:

#68 2Old4Forza - capt nasties, driveby, and Nightstalker
#69 2Old4Forza - Sarverious, o351, and FAA LS1 patrick
#84 MSG Motorsports (we have BigMac's, but have also seen a livery from Cuda)
#?? ???? - emacyclist and speedfreak

If you can't because the livery is locked, a picture such as this would be appreciated:

The specific instruction are to go to NASCAR turn 3 (daytime), back the camera all the way to the inside wall, and zoom in 11.7x.

Just to clear up any confusion regarding the BoP change, I'll try my best to explain it here.

It was brought to my attention by one of the Audi drivers that the top speed advantage of their car was much higher than the other cars when trimmed out. That prompted me to go back through the entire field last night to double check if I had missed anything. When going through the class I realized I overlooked the fact the default Audi and Mercedes setups had higher rear downforce than the other cars. I figured it would be easier to correct that now than after the season started.

Is this a late change? Yes, but whatever setup you used before this should easily work with the updated build (with the exception of a slight gear change). Dropping the top end speed of the Audi a few mph while giving it some rear tire should make it a more balanced car overall at every track and since I couldn't limit the HP of the Merc, I took away a slight bit of rear tire.

If you think that I'm trying to screw your team over or somehow help mine, you're out of your mind. I spent way too damn much time trying to get this right and make for a competitive race. This is a hell of a lot closer with the builds than if we ran the he cars default and excluded the Ford and Lamborghini Huracan.

My only issue is that you wouldn't have tested the no aero thing beforehand. You had to figure someone would do it. I know y'all have out time into it, but that just seems like a silly thing to have missed. It's cool, we have adjusted and will be in the track Saturday.

As the GSR Admin Team mentioned earlier, I will be hosting another Impromptu Practice session at 7:30PM EST that'll last to 9:00PM EST (19:30-21:00).

There will be two 45 minute sessions, the first session being in the day while the second session will be at night.
